How do I add and update inventory locations?

Locations give you a better picture of where your inventory is being stored at your venue and help to compartmentalize an inventory session. You can add new locations, create sublocations, and rename existing locations.

    Adding an inventory location

    1. In the left navigation panel, go to Inventory and select Manage locations.

    2. Locate the Add a new location text field and enter the name of the location. Locations are any place you store items (e.g., Main Bar, Patio Bar, Wine Cellar, Liquor Room).

    3. Click the Add button.  Note you must close an open inventory session or you will be unable to add or edit locations.

    4. (Optional) To add a sublocation, enter the sublocation name in the same field and select the parent location from the dropdown menu before clicking the Add button.  If you have a sublocation, you will not be able to count inventory within the parent location name, the counts will be performed in the added sublocations.

    5. Your new location or sublocation will now appear under your venue name and will be available to perform counts within on the next inventory session.

    Renaming inventory locations

    1. In the left navigation panel, go to Inventory and select Manage locations.

    2. Under Edit location, find and select the location you want to rename.

    3. Enter the new name and click Save to update the location.

Creating custom inventory lists for locations

You can create custom inventory lists for each location to streamline the inventory process. Follow these steps:

    1. Navigate to the Manage locations page.

    2. Click Edit custom inventory sort under the Edit location section.

    3. On the next page, customize the inventory list for that location as needed. Your changes will be auto-saved.  Drag items from the full list of items in inventory, on the left, to the blank column on the right to design your sort order.  Switch custom locations with the dropdown selector at the top.
