The merge items feature allows you to combine data for duplicate items.
You can merge up to 5 items at once from the Inventory Items page. Here's how to merge items:

The backend item data for the master item will be kept after merging and will overwrite the data of the merged items. For example, if two items have different costs, the cost of the master item is kept.
Additionally, missing data for the master item will not be updated by merging items. For example, if the master item has no cost, and the merged item has a cost, the merged item cost would be overwritten and the merged item would show no cost. It is generally advised to manually merge data onto the master item prior to the merge as only backend id numbers and sku will transfer to the master item.
Inventory data from past inventory sessions will not be affected. All historical quantities and inventory values will remain and can be viewed in your inventory reports. If an item has counts in both duplicates, manually transfer the total to the master item before merging.
