Backbar does not modify any data within your POS system. The integration is strictly read-only. Backbar also does not handle payments, read or save credit card accounts. The information that Backbar reads from POS systems is data stored on tickets (orders), items, groups, and modifiers. All connections made to a POS system are secure over HTTPS and all communication between Backbar and the POS system are encrypted using Transport Layer Security version 1.2 or above over port 443.
